About Pilates

 Our Pilates classes are a high-intensity, low-impact heart-pumping full-body workout that combines the best of strength training, cardio, and Pilates-inspired movements all in one session. You can expect full-body functional movements centered around the core that will make you stronger both mentally and physically. We offer classes on our customised hybrid Pilates reformers as well as infrared and non-heated classes on the mat.

 This is not a rehabilitative workout and is not suggested for people with serious injuries — our method is an athletic fitness approach. All of our classes are all level and can be modified for minor injuries.

 
 

Pilates Reform Classes

Custom to the Southern Soul machine is a hybrid Pilates reformer that combines resistance training and cardio into one comprehensive, balanced system to strengthen, tighten, and tone the body. Feel results after the first class or your money back! These are not rehabilitative workouts and are not suggested for people with serious injuries.

ReForm + Mat 60

Our signature class developed by owner Jenna Wright is 60 minutes designed to make you sweat, quiver, and transform. 30 minutes of mat Pilates and 30 minutes on the ReForm. Transitions between moves are quick and seamless. Movements are safe and easily modifiable but designed to deeply challenge you. Classical Pilates technique with the modern fitness philosophy of time under tension to challenge the muscles and forge a deep mind/body connection.

Reform 45

Our signature class developed by owner Jenna Wright is 45 minutes to make you sweat, quiver and transform. Transitions between moves are quick and seamless. Movements are safe and easily modifiable but designed to deeply challenge you. Classical Pilates technique with the modern fitness philosophy of time under tension to challenge the muscles and forge a deep mind/body connection.

 Hot Ballet

This is a ballet-inspired workout taught by professional ballet dancers. This class will lengthen and strengthen the body. Basic ballet positions will be incorporated with added props to sculpt your arms, legs, and booty. No ballet experience is necessary.

This class is heated to 90° (infrared heat)


Hot Ballet + Core

is a ballet-inspired workout taught by professional ballet dancers. This class will lengthen and strengthen the body. Basic ballet positions will be incorporated with added props to sculpt your arms, legs, and booty. This class will also have a focused core section. No ballet experience is necessary.

Room is heated to 90° (infrared heat)


Hot Hip Hop Pilates

Workout to the beat of Hip Hop mixes! This workout combines traditional Pilates movements with the added mix of cardio and a variety of weights and resistance bands.

Room is heated to 90° (infrared heat)


Hot Mat Pilates

A low-impact, high-intensity class centered around traditional Pilates moves that incorporate light weights bands, blocks, and Pilates rings and balls. This class focuses on core, arms, and glutes so that you feel long, lean, and refreshed from the inside out.

Hot Pilates + Yin:

A low-impact, high-intensity class centered around traditional Pilates moves that incorporates light ankle/arm bands and Pilates rings with 15 minutes of Yin to cool you down and stretch you out! This class will have you feeling long, lean and strong and calm

Room set to 90° for Pilates portion and 78° for Yin (infrared heat)


Soul Yin:

Long holds, deep stretches targeting connective tissue. Gentle music may be played

Room is set to 78°


Soul Power

Deepen your practice with powerful holds. You’ll flow continuously through strong sequences linking one breath with movement, building strength and endurance as you push the edge of your balance and flexibility.

This class is heated to 90°+ (infrared heat)


Soul Power + Pilates:

This 75-minute class will start with a powerful yoga flow and move into a low-impact, high-intensity class centered around traditional Pilates and Yoga moves that incorporate light weights bands, blocks, and Pilates rings and balls. This class focuses on the core, arms, and glutes so that you feel long, lean, and refreshed from the inside out.

Room is set to 80-90° (infrared heat)


Non-Heated Mat Pilates:

A gentle approach to a full body burn. Traditional Pilates movements with the use of Pilates rings + ball, light weights, and bands. This class is suitable for expectant mothers or those who prefer no heat.

This class is not heated.


Soul Power + Yin:

One breath, one movement - set to music. You will flow through a sequence of poses thoughtfully designed by each teacher to work the body in a safe and challenging way. Paired with 15-30 mins of Yin yoga, slow-paced and passive, with postures on the floor used to target the deep connective tissues and fascia of the body. Each posture is held for up to 5 minutes.

Room is set to 85°-93° (infrared heat)


Soul Vinyasa:

Vinyasa flows for all levels. This class will leave you feeling stretched, strengthened, & connected.
